Men in folk music sound like bad church worship, but your music sounds like I could dance with my coven under a full moon

I would argue this is comparable to Noah Kahan. Your audience with find you bc your music is good. Record labels dont know all

That's where the record labels are wrong. Some of the greatest folk singers have been women. They're clearly out of touch with what we want.

As a fan of Noah Kahan (a man, I know,) your style is very similar and feminine in a way I long for. I WILL be adding you to the rotation 😌

Literally my favorite folk artists are women. And doesn't "gender dominated field" just mean a history of unbalanced hiring practices?

You don’t need a record label. That time is gone. You need YouTube. Find tom Macdonald on YouTube. He walks you thru it

I’m going to tell you something that I hope makes you feel a little better, music is everything to me. I have different playlists for different things, different moods, etc. I have one playlist that I’m proud of and have curated carefully over the years. It’s my “of all time” playlist. Some may call it a “desert island” playlist. It only has a few songs but they’re the ones that if I could only hear that song for the rest of my life, it would be that. I just thought you should know, Only Light is on that playlist. Your others are on all my playlists, but that’s one I could hear forever and never tire of it…. Not gonna lie the one playing now could end up on that list as well. I REALLY love your music.

not only is your music beautiful, but being a woman in a male dominated genre should make you MORE marketable?? i forget how sexist the world still is sometimes.
