@frankiegiarrizzo: How to handle people trying to trap you. "Someone will ask you a question, but they’re not actually looking for an answer. They’re trying to back you into a corner." It happens all the time in comments, but you don't have to play that game. If they make a legitimate point, own it, if they're twisting your words, call it out. In person, hold your ground without getting louder, angrier, or resorting to insults. Listen to what they're actually saying, answer directly, and if they keep moving the goalposts, calmly point it out. You can be completely firm without being disrespectful. Jesus never told us to be afraid of tough conversations, but He also never said winning an argument matters more than how we treat the person in front of us. Don't let someone bait you into becoming someone you're not. Stand on what you believe, know why you believe it, and keep your character.
