The military be doing the same thing. In order to move up you gotta let some things happen to you. Then they be so ashamed of what they’ve done that they never talk about it, but we still use it as a badge of honor. I hate that. I’ll never forget my roommate in college bf was pledging and after their lil meetups he would be beat tf up. 😩 Like paddled so bad that he couldn’t even sit down to take a bath. She would have to sponge bathe him and he would fall asleep standing up, leaning on the counter, bc he couldn’t even lay down. It was so bad.
