The longer Neville stays, the more it hurts to understand why no one has chosen him yet. He’s been here a long time now. Long enough to quietly become part of our everyday… and long enough to watch so many other dogs leave while he stays behind, waiting in the same spot, hoping it might finally be his turn. Neville is a staff favourite for a reason. He’s one of those dogs everyone is naturally drawn to the moment they meet him. He’s so intelligent, so affectionate, and he just wants to be close to people. When you sit with him, he doesn’t hold back, he leans into you, climbs gently into your space for cuddles, and looks up at you like that moment with you is everything. And when you leave… he just stays there, watching you go. It’s those moments that stick with you. Because he doesn’t ask for much. He doesn’t make a fuss. He just keeps hoping the next person walking past might finally be his. Neville isn’t for everyone. He’s a big, strong boy who needs an experienced, confident home, no other dogs, and a calm teenage or adult-only household. Someone steady, patient, and willing to guide him as he learns what it feels like to truly belong. But in the right home… he will give you everything. Not halfway, not sometimes, all of him. His trust, his loyalty, his whole heart. And when you see how much love he has to give, it becomes even harder to understand how he’s still here. If he’s not the one for you, please don’t scroll past him. Please share him. Somewhere out there is his person, we just have to help them find each other. He’s ready. He just needs his someone. 🐾❤️ To adopt: saveadog.org.au → Animals for Adoption → Neville (Medium–Large Dogs) 📍 Glen Iris, Victoria, Australia #adoptdontshop #rescueismyfavoritebreed #melbournedogs #adoptneville #shelterdog
