This is called "fluid seeding." Just know that you want healthy soil full of microbes because the gel will grow mold & fungi. Potato starch combined with dextrose is the primary ingredient used in laboratory petri dishes (Potato Dextrose Agar) specifically to grow and culture mold and mushrooms. You can also use agar-agar combined with a tiny splash of 3% hydrogen peroxide to suppress mold growth. When planted in healthy soil, the microbes and rain should break down the gel before mold is able to start growing.
