The only thing I disagree with is that romantic love completely doesn't exist. I have seen (very, VERY occasionally) truly loving, devoted men who care for their wives through end of life. I can count them on one hand and I would never bet on it, but I have seen it in real life

Pushing marriage on everyone benefits those in power because married men will focus most of their vitriol on their wives instead of other men/society. Churches and governments will /always/ push it. Women and girls are groomed by media and religion for it. We are fodder.

aside from all this. Do you believe men don't love the children they raised like women do? I can't believe I'm going to say this but surely, surely not all men? I've met a fair few that centre their entire lives around their children and are just so, so happy to be fathers.
