This makes no sense, you have to benchmark against funds consisting of similar holdings and risk characteristics?? If you’re holding higher beta names you should be outperforming the S&P 500 in a bull market. Also one week of outperformance doesn’t mean anything

It doesn’t make sense to benchmark against the S&P 500 when you are focusing on tech and AI stocks.. that’s not how benchmarks work. You need to benchmark against an appropriate fund like the NASDAQ 100, which is up. 2.2% over the last week. You’re partly measuring sector exposure, not investiment skill

Stocks go up and down like a yo-yo which we all know…. One thing I’ll never forget is listening to K-97 one day and the topic was about investing in stocks etc. One guy called in and talked about investing in WWF (or WWE). He would buy low, sell high and buy low again over. He kept repeating the cycle over quite a few years and made a small fortune lol.
