My dad’s a pilot and it truly is so different but I wouldn’t have it any other way!! When he was home, he was so present and the best dad ever & I got to spend more time with him I think than most of my friends did with their dad. He is just the happiest guy bc his job is his passion and a bunch of my guy friends are pilots now bc of him! ❤️

I get it…mine’s a captain and gone 4 weeks, then home 4 weeks, year round. I go without him for a month, then he’s home 24/7 for a month- then boom, gone again. Every year it changes what holidays or events he will miss or be home for. It’s hard but his benefits are amazing and the pay definitely helps…only 20 years til retirement 🫠
