Silent Circles :
If you really believed it couldn't get any worse or more intense after Stage 4, it actually will, trust me. To me, the fifth stage of this absolutely genius sonic piece is packed incredibly densely with information which waits to be uncovered! If I were to establish a direct comparison between it and all the other stages positioned in the lucidity segment (Stages 1–3), I strongly believe that the quality of its content especially surpasses any other segment. It's a widely accepted fact that the album itself is an absolutely exceptional masterpiece — every single note or crackling noise, which may appear random, can be contextualized in so many unique ways, even if it may seem far-fetched sometimes. It delivers an enormous amount of psychological, neurological, and philosophical value all at the same time.
As I have formerly mentioned in my previous writings, the transition from lucidity to post-awareness likely signifies the ego death, and consequently the mostly subconscious amygdala — also known as the "the amygdala's threat-detection circuitry" — jumps into the foreground and starts acting more actively. Titles suggesting a first-person monologue suddenly transition into dull, black-and-white medical diagnoses, seen in track titles such as "Advanced Plaque Entanglements" and "Synapse Retrogenesis." This suggests that the first-person observer has already succumbed to defeat; all that remains is a lifeless shell running on "if" and "else" statements, or much simpler code. An artwork that has lost all its precious colors. Through this process, the flesh is stripped from the bones — all that remains is the evolutionary baseline survival code, with minimal sustainment of the frontal domain.
The aftermath mirrors an engine that has stubbornly been taught how to survive for the last millions of years; the frontal sector is pure luxury from an evolutionary standpoint. It only arose so that the human race could excel above everything else. Speaking of adaptation, everything in this universe follows the path of least resistance — this pattern appears everywhere, from a supernova all the way to how capitalism makes companies favor absolute frictionless perfection, kee
