@cheatclipsusa: On September 6, 2018, 26-year-old Botham Jean was relaxing in his Dallas apartment when off-duty police officer Amber Guyger mistakenly entered, believing it was her home. Thinking Botham was an intruder, she fatally shot him. One year later, Guyger was convicted of murder and sentenced to 10 years in prison. But the moment that moved millions came the following day. Botham’s 18-year-old brother, Brandt Jean, stood before the woman who had killed his brother. Instead of expressing hatred, he looked her in the eyes and said: “I forgive you. I want the best for you because that’s exactly what Botham would want.” Brandt then asked the judge if he could hug her. When permission was granted, he walked across the courtroom and embraced her as she broke down in tears. His forgiveness did not erase the tragedy or replace justice. It showed that even after an unimaginable loss, compassion can still be a choice 🥺#storytime #sad #fyp
