I’ve played this piece as a cellist with a full orchestra for over 5000 people and it was one of the greatest moments of my life. Nothing comes close to Tchaikovsky.

I played this with an orchestra once, broke down crying at this exact part of the piece to where everyone noticed and we stopped during the rehearsal 😂 (I'm talking putting my flute down and my head in my hands while I get berated by the director 😅) and I was crying so much during the performance that my flute was trembling but I made it through lol 😭😅 will never forget how it felt to play and feel such a masterpiece during that time! Also got to hear it live once as an attendee, the best!
