Purple gradient, sparkle pill, three round numbers nobody picked. Claude Design can do much better than that, but only if you stop prompting it and start directing it. Here are the 5 steps: 1. Give it a system, not a prompt. Claude doesn't know what good design is, so show it three sites that are. Say "build me a design system from this site, then use it on every page." 2. Make it judge its own work. Ask Claude to improve a design five times and you get five different opinions. Give it one site to beat instead. Then the draft either passes or it goes round again. 3. Give it art nobody else has. Plug Higgsfield CLI into Claude and it fills the page with your own assets. Stock gradients out, your own art in. 4. Change the font. Claude picks a default typeface every time. Name one instead and the page grows up. Instrument Serif, Space Grotesk and Fraunces are three that aren't the default. Check the licence though, free for personal use isn't free for business. 5. Fix the copy. The best design on the planet still won't sell if the words sound like a robot wrote them. "Get started, five minutes wherever you are" becomes "Start your first lesson, five minutes on the train counts." Same box on the page, completely different job.
