Robert Eggers is a one trick pony but damn that pony is good at what it does.

The people who called Nosferatu boring think every installation of the Fast and the Furious is groundbreaking

You make a good point about why they work as period films. But he needs to pick up the pace.

Unfortunately Nosferatu just wasn't for me. Great atmosphere and vampire interpretation, but just the overall content was a bit much for me. Loved Northman, though, and werewolves are my favorite mythical creature, so I'll give Werwulf a shot.

I just wish he would cast different people, every movie he makes has the same people

I want Eggers to direct a Noah & the flood narrative starring Lee Pace about a man going absolutely insane in the process of building an ark that destroys his life - I think it would be bonkers and Eggers would make it mesmerizing

I absolutely love his films. He made me realize "folk" is my favorite kind of horror, and I haven't been the same since The Witch. your excitement for this fuels my excitement for this.

Eggers is genuinely leagues better than Nolan imo. He’s constantly pushing his boundaries artistically.

Imma be honest, Robert Eggers doesn’t do it for me in terms of plot or characters. I think he’s fabulous at setting the tone of movies and keeping them in historical theme, but I’ve been let down by both the Lighthouse and Nosferatu in terms of plot. Both are excellent in terms of setting a creepy tone and I’ll probably watch Werwulf, but his plots imo leave something to be desired
