u are so right i love u, i generally hate the pattern (especially with gay pairs in fiction/not even only in fiction which is crazy) when ppl call a man with 'more feminine looks and skinnier frame' a twink, not even realizing that twink is actually a slur, im pretty sure :(( I also hate how fandoms tend to divide all characters into two parts—the bad and the good ones, and just hate on the 'evil' ones/ It especially pains me how extreme it is in the alnst fandom since the whole meaning of the series is how horrible environment, not experiencing love at all or very little of it, and suffering the most of their life can alter humans behavior and expression of love, and how the whole cast is definitely morally gray. I mean sure, both can be true at once I would say. We can understand the consequences of the severe medical abuse he has suffered from & that playing a part in how his body looks, while it also fitting what being a twink is. Honestly though, my thing is more like we don’t know if Luka is even queer. It’s never been confirmed & the only person he has ever shown interest in was Hyuna, a woman. Not to say he couldn’t be ofc, just lacking evidence & confirmation that he is. So calling someone whom we don’t know is in the community a term to describe a gay man w/ a specific body type doesn’t exactly make sense. But that’s just me!

on the topic of minimizing luka’s backstory; why is all his trauma a joke to everybody?? “well he did xyz” well maybe he did that due to the fact he had an extremely traumatic upbringing that u refuse to acknowledge? this isn’t to say it justifies his actions but it explains them— as opposed to viewing him as inherently evil which is what a lot of ppl do which is why they feel comfortable treating him as a character so poorly and with such little moral regard as opposed to the rest of the cast. him getting beat up by mizi after watching hyuna die somehow funny, in romh was “deserved”, and several times ive see ppl make fat jokes abt him just bc he has a large appetite despite the fact that he’s so malnourished to the point that his bones fracture easily?? huh 😭😭 sure it’s “not that serious he’s just fictional”, but for most of the ppl i see saying that, it’s only “not that serious” when it comes to him in particular. :/
