Yesss in Mexico there are stands in general of different vegetables. We call them Verdura cocida and they can be prepared the same way as the elote: crema, cheese, salsa, etc. all the works but on brócoli, potatoes, chayote (Mexican squash). But let me tell you I’ve never had peas… genius!!

look up Verdura preparada in Mexico they dont just do esquite cups they can do it to any vegetable. it might give you ideas for other veggies to turn into esquite
