I was at the beach sitting by myself and watching the waves at night. A homeless man came over and politely asked if he could sit with me. I said sure and he sat a few feet away. I asked why he wanted to sit and he said “because you looked lonely and I’m lonely too” we then talked for three hours about our lives and how we got to where we are today. He was the sweetest person with the most unfortunate life and I’ll never forget him. I hope he is in a good spot today.

I don’t wanna sound rude or anything but I just want to give homeless people hugs instead of money cause money is temporary a hug is forever if I was struggling I would like a hug not just money

I’m in San Diego, never seen so many homeless in my life. But I’ve talked to at least 10 different homeless and hear them for a while. We’re all human, they deserve love and to feel seen and heard just as much as anybody else. Shit sadness me

Ive been shedding genuine tears for minutes. I am a 15 year old kid that lives in the suburbs of a rich town. I've only been to two cities where poverty is common. Everytime i go out of my way to give food out that i have left over. It genuinely hurts my souls to see people with no way out.
