port Costa! We did Harley rides there every weekend! the bar on Sundays has live music and is so fun. also in high school we did our cheer pics there and there was a naked man staring at us through a window 🤣

My best friend lives in port costa and that place is a trip. But it’s awesome and we love it and that bar by the water is the warehouse and there is a giant stuffed polar bear there. And the hotel is haunted! They also do the best city wide garage sale in the Bay Area imo

In high school it was a tradition to try to sneak into the purple people property. Some of my friends went too far and were stuck in there for hours. They either were too scared to tell us what happened or truly can’t remember but they were never able to explain why they were gone so long. They thought it was minutes but it was hours

In 1994 my aunt had an apartment in port costa, in was in an old brothel. The town definitely feels different at night. We would go to the bar by the water and sit outside at the picnic tables. I was under age but no one cared cause there were so few people in the town everyone knew everyone. My aunt told me not to leave her side bc there were people that weren’t “normal “. I asked what she meant and she said like vampires or werewolves she wasn’t real sure. They were just different from regular people, they didn’t bother the people that lived there. I haven’t thought about that summer in years

The people aren't wierd, they are super nice,I used to work at the post office in same building as the bar. But yes lots of ghost stories, the hotel and the building where the bar is haunted and there's a road that has a ghost lady in a jogging suit and dog..my sister seen her.I took a Pic of a orb with a face in it on same road.

Omg! I was there one night with my sister showing her the place. There was a noose hanging from a tree , a random bunny hopping through the streets then we go in a bar and out side is a dude dressed in a military outfit from the 40s and laying across an old model a, the people inside the bar were all talking amongst each other at the bar but it was like they were in another realm. Like we stepped into the past. Beyond creepy. I've been back since and had dinner there and it was nice but I have heard the female ghost in the old brothel hotel and heard her say hello again in the antique shop underneath the hotel. The first time I heard her my daughter and I were touring the old hotel alone and my daughter got dizzy and the ghost said do you need some air? Absolutely chilling

I used to live there. This story is wild! The bar is one of my favorite bars in the entire Bay Area. They have the biggest bottled beer selections I’ve ever seen. Now the brothel, that’s a good story to tell!
