I understand this fear more than I can explain. I’m the father of an 11-year-old autistic son, and one of the hardest parts of being his dad is knowing I can’t be beside him every second. I can advocate, teach, protect, and prepare, but eventually I have to trust other people to treat him with patience, dignity, and kindness when I’m not there. That thought stays with me. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way.

same it kills me inside! my boy is starting primary school next year as kept him back a year at nursery. I have the major fear thinking he will get bullied for not being able to talk properly etc 😭xxxx
