nope, 215 is the height, 50 is the width, 17 is the rim size. this is totally incorrect.

I said it before I’ll say it again, I get the same size tire but have the center number. My front tire will be a 70 my rear tires will be a 60. My front tire is about 9 1/2 to 10 inches wide or my rear tire is 12 inches wide. The first number a 215 is smaller diameter than a 265 at the same tire, so how do you explain what you’re telling us and what I actually have on my hot rod.

i can't believe the last guy. WRONG. 215 is width in millimeters. the aspect ratio of 50 a sidewall hight of 50 % of 215mm. the last number is truely the wheel diameter
