In my opinion, Joe Alwyn was the love of her life and that's why she married Travis. Travis is completely the opposite of Joe. She wanted that marriage with him and it never came so she found someone who was willing to do it almost immediately.

She has written so many beautiful love songs (about her ex) e.g. Daylight, Lover, king of my heart, call it what you want, new years day, ready for it, invisible string, Paris, dress, so it goes etc. Or even silly ones like gorgeous, London boy, Paper rings, I think he knows. She even has written love songs about people she wasn't even with like Enchanted or you are in love. It's totally possible - but apparently not about her husband cause she's focused on the public perception with him. She hasn't said a single thing she likes about this man

Ive been super into Carly Rae Jepson’s new album. And the juxtaposition between the 2 is so crazy because this is CRJ’s first release post marriage and becoming a mother and it is some of her best music she’s ever released. It’s fresh, it’s dynamic, it’s experimental, her happiness is expressed in such an amazing tone and through really beautiful lyrics. Taylor’s vibe is like “I’m married and that’s all that matters no matter what you say about me”. Which is not a sign of mature love or “finding the one”. It’s really sad.

True but I think it lowkey bothers her that she was finally “chosen” by a guy that’s not her type either. Taylor’s usual type is frail, artistic British boys who are perceived as complicated. Travis is a big, all-American jock who is perceived as quite simple. That doesn’t seem to boost her ego specifically (like finally winning over a MH/JA type would) but only satisfies her ego in the realm of perception because she knows he’s overall respected.
