is it pretty common for ferret to get cancer/sick? Ive been loving whenever we get ferret at our pet store but theyre SO EXPENSIVE I was thinking about getting one in the future but if they have a lot of health issues on top of the price I might not be up for it

my baby just got diagnosed w insulinoma :( everytime i give meds i walk away feeling defeated, he hates it sm. i’m also syringe feeding 3 ml of carnivore care after his prednisolone and he hates both of them so badly i just wanna cry everytime omfg. i wish i could tell him and his little friends what’s going on, do you have any tips on making this process easier ??
