The issue is the way you’re learning it. You’re supposed to learn a language the way a baby does (ex: you see a cat, and hear someone refer to it as gato, so you’re brain connects the two without hearing the word cat at all.) Duolingo doesn’t teach properly

I believe she means.. when non Spanish speakers think of the word ‘agua’ they automatically translate it to water. Whereas if a Spanish speaker thinks of the word ‘agua’ they dont translate it to water. Its its own word to them without english translation
