@addbrs: When there is a suspicion of bird strike on an airplane the aircraft arrives at the gate with a full flaps to make an inspection and confirm if it is... But the problem is that Ryanair have no engineer in all of its network airport, and only an engineer can alow a airplane to fly after that so in these situations you may waiting 2 at 3 hours to get him... During all this time you have to deal with passengers to explain them at least if you have no informations... But you can get a second problem if the crew who operates 4flights and that you are the 4th with the delay you can get over 12h of duty without rest... so if it's takes to much time you may need an other crew to operate the flight but the time to get them from the standby and then from their airport to this one so at least 3 hours... or if they can't fix the aircraft they send one of remplacement with the new crew.... so if you as a group staff you were supposed to do something after your duty just cancel...
