I just don’t have the same tolerance for things that don’t feel genuine anymore. I spent too much of my life overexplaining myself, giving people the benefit of the doubt, making myself smaller so everyone else could stay comfortable. I’m not doing that anymore. I want honesty. I want people who mean what they say. I want relationships that don’t leave me questioning where I stand. And if that makes my circle smaller, I’m okay with that.
