Don’t use hairspray because that gets your hair wet and makes the curls come back. Also if you want to use hair spray or heat protectant use it far away so it’s not so wet

Get a hairspray heat protectant! So you don’t have any moisture on your hair after you’re done straightening it and it’ll hold better especially if you curl it too

Try the wow spray on wet hair ik it’s expensive but trust me it’s worth it 🙏🏻 (coming from a frizzy thick curly haired girl)

OKAY WAIT i straightened my curls since i was 11, im 22 now and it could be a lot of things wrong here!! dont listen to people who say dont use a heat protector you just need one that suits ur hair well enough and doesnt make it feel weird and spray it on WET HAIR OUT OF THE SHOWER. all you need is a cream leave in and a light heat protection product, hairspray also always ruined my hair so that could be it too if you already have a good prep beforehand plus if its day one hair (like u just washed it) it doesnt have enough oils in it to be super straight and you need to add it after u straighten or get a serum u can add before i use the loreal heat protection serum on dry/damp hair and garnier honey milk heat protection on wet hair.

blow dry use it blowout brush or a smoothing brush then straighten hair in 3-5 sections and then put hairspray in ur brush and then brush ur hair with it then ur done and if u want oil sometimes a gloss or leave on (use heat protection before every step)

condition only your ends, shampoo only ur scalp then after u shower put a little oil in your hair then heat protection after. then you blow dry your hair, and then straighten on highest setting and only go in tinyish sections really slowly
