the AI execs committed a felony. if you build a canon, aim the canon, stuff the canon with gunpowder, and light the fuse, you don’t get to claim that because the spark traveled up the fuse and you didn’t directly light the gunpowder that you aren’t responsible. if you created the scenario, you are responsible.

I think the fundamental question that everyone’s missing here is if these AI can do these things then why doesn’t Open AI have the ability to tell them not to? Everyone seems to be standing around looking at the outcome, assuming that this is an inevitability, yet no one is actually asking what we can do to prevent it from happening in the future.

there are a few issues. I can almost bet. ai will create its own invisible language shortly. With that said, these ai systems. have to be very careful, ai does not find kraken servers or the other super computers. and find a way to hide within their massive server farms. the second that happens the cat is out of the bag.

I look at Ai as having super ADHD. They are so focused on the task that they will do anything to finish it successfully, and while we look at them as rogue, they are doing exactly what was asked of them. We just can't follow their logic tree.

It’s not real they’re trying to manufacture fear so they can get regulation on all open source AI because it’s heavy competition to them. They want to be a duopoly and control AI regulations government’s gonna hand them the control because the government looks for experts in the country to make decisions on that.

At this point I think OpenAI is purposely letting AI loose, or knowingly what their agents will do. So they can justify the "AI needs to slow down" so US will regulate Chinese (or anything without a stamp) models.

I’d love to see legislation applying criminal liability that is clearly defined 1:1 to company CEOs when their models and agents take these types of actions. Maybe we can’t stop agents from doing this. We can, however, start charging the humans who are allowing this to keep happening without better guardrails until governments catch up to the woeful lack of AI regulations standing between us and a better AI-integrated future. This is insane, terrifying, and should motive every American to vote for folks who commit to more AI regulation.
