@evilmonkeyzdesignz: This silicon chip is mostly empty space. It also contains a few silicon doodles, including a bug, the US flag, and a kangaroo for some reason. In the vast empty space is the text "Place critical defects here", which is a pretty funny joke. This chip was made by Rockwell International and Allen Bradley with a copyright date from 1989. It's named "SMC Interface Logic", which may have something to do with the Allen Bradley Smart Motor Controllers. The chip's part number is 40370-169-01.
