He started sliding after he already lowered his shoulder to hit him and he put himself in a vulnerable spot instead of taking a direct hit if he would’ve squared up, he would’ve been better off than sliding

No that was shoulder pad to helmet,even though QB was sliding still the force knocked his helmet towards the ground hard. Hope the young man will have a full recovery.
