This argument needs to stop. Like good for you guys that you can ride without a bit but we need to understand that normal bits aren’t necessarily bad when used normally and correctly. This is why the sport is so toxic, You guys claim all the tools like bits are so bad after seeing some abusers use it INCORRECTLY. But a lot of good riders ride with bits and it doesn’t harm the horse (I’m talking about the normal ones cause I also am not a fan of those weird ones with all those extra stuff and sharpness) but yeah, we are allowed to ride with bits too and we aren’t bad riders because of it because most of us ride exactly the same as you guys with a bitless one and don’t harm our horses with it as that’s the normal way to use it.

I can ride bitless on my horse. It causes him pain though so I don't. The reason it causes pain is from a old tooth that got pulled and never healed then it was just a gaping hole in his mouth that lead him to needing equine nasal flap surgery (look it up if you want to there are some graphic photos beware) and now he in 4 days post op and still isn't a fan of stuff on his nose, may never be the surgeon said because of that pain memory and from where the scars are

genuinely dumbest argument I've ever hear. if you would've phrased it like '' without a strong bit'' then sure. but a bit is sometimes just the only thing you have to have connection with a horse. eg. mine just completely ignores everything when ridden without a bit. doesn't matter ''how good's or ''bad'' you are. he just don't care.

I had a horse I could ride tackless,. But I also have horses that I wouldn’t dare ride tackless on … simply because they’re quick and hotheaded. Did I try one of them oh yes,. But she did not like it at all ,. Got all angry Bucky about it

my horse uses a western tie bridle (i ride english) and is completely bitless. Hes a very good horse and replys to both physical and vocal cues
