@iszty88: Juljan Mezowiec (c. 1879 – 1928) was a Polish farmer who carried out a bayonet attack in the village of Smidyn (near Kovel, Volhynia, Second Polish Republic) on 23 October 1928. During a village meeting at the local school he disagreed with the mayor and caused a disturbance. When police tried to remove him he seized a bayonet from police commander Leon Gąsior, stabbed him to death, and also killed the deputy commander Wincenty Marciniak. He then attacked villagers, killing a total of 7 people (including the 2 policemen) and wounding at least 5 others. Among the dead were a Jewish couple, Lejba and Ryfka Małamet. Mezowiec fled into nearby woods and was captured the following morning after killing one more person. When questioned he claimed he had seen the devil and had acted on its command. #targetaudience #targetaudienceforyou
