@metaphysiko: I usually walked my dog around 7 PM. But one night, I got busy and didn’t take him out until almost midnight. It was completely dark outside. The neighborhood was quiet. No cars. No people. Just the sound of my dog’s paws on the sidewalk. About ten minutes into the walk, he stopped. I thought he saw a cat. Then I noticed what he was staring at. Someone was standing underneath a streetlight across the road. I couldn’t see their face. They weren’t moving. I waited a few seconds. Then my dog started growling. “Come on, Max.” He wouldn’t move. The person under the light suddenly turned around and walked away. I relaxed. Then my phone buzzed. A text from my neighbor. Are you walking your dog right now? I replied yes. Another message came immediately. Don’t go past the old playground. I looked ahead. The playground was only a block away. I turned around. That’s when I heard footsteps behind me. I looked back. Nobody. My dog was staring behind us. His ears were up. The footsteps continued. Slow. Heavy. Getting closer. I picked him up and started walking faster. Then something whispered my dog’s name. Max froze. I didn’t. I ran. We made it home and I locked the door behind us. My dog immediately ran to the window. He stared outside. I pulled the curtain closed. Then I heard three knocks on the glass. I didn’t look. Another three knocks. Then a voice whispered, “Your dog forgot something.” Max started barking. I grabbed him and moved away from the window. My phone buzzed again. It was my neighbor. Whatever you do, don’t look outside. Then another message came through. It’s not outside anymore. I slowly looked down. Max was standing beside me. But his leash was still attached. The other end was disappearing underneath my bedroom door. And something on the other side was quietly holding it. #scary #scarystories #creepystorytime #captionstory #horrortok
