I am 56. AND I REFUSE TO ACT MY AGE. 💃🔥 Apparently at 56 I’m supposed to slow down. Dress differently. Be more “age appropriate.” Take it easy. And start accepting that I’m getting old. Yeah… no. 😂 I didn’t spend 56 years becoming this woman just to suddenly make myself smaller. I want to dance. I want strong legs. I want energy. I want to wear the shorts. I want to laugh too loud. I want to travel, move my body, try new things and walk into a room feeling GOOD about myself. And most importantly… I want to keep doing all of it for as long as I possibly can. That’s why taking care of myself looks different now. 🏋️‍♀️ I strength train because I want muscle later. 🥩 I prioritize protein because I want to stay strong. 🚶‍♀️ I walk because movement is part of my everyday life. 😴 I protect my sleep because recovery matters. ☀️ I get outside. 🧬 I take my NAD. 💃 And apparently… I dance around the house like nobody is watching. Because 56 isn’t the age where life starts getting smaller. 56 is the age where I finally stopped caring what “586” is supposed to look like. I’m not trying to look 26. I’m trying to make 78-year-old me proud of how I took care of her. ❤️ The NAD that’s part of my daily routine is linked in my bio 🧬✨ or Comment “GLOW” and I’ll DM the link for the one I recommend. I want to see how many women here are redefining what getting older looks like. 👇🔥 And send this to the woman who needs the reminder: YOU ARE NOT TOO OLD. GO DANCE. 💃 . . . #womenover50 #ageless #strongwomen #midlifewomen #womenwholift
