My brother is in prison for this very thing. His student was said to have accused him. A medical examination said there was no penetration and her hymen intact contrary to their allegation. My brother continues to be in prison for years because we can't afford a decent lawyer.

A male teacher… young and just graduated school in Ghana went to a rural area to teach… ended up prison cuz a student got pregnant for another student and was scarred so accused the teacher to be the father.

As school staff we can’t protect ourselves. I literally just had a child bend is own finger back and proceeded to say “ouch stop your hurting me”. I was three feet away from him so was my co worker. This isn’t JUST a male teacher issue.

I copied this from a previous post the only way to protect both the children from legitimate threats and the teachers from false accusations is to increase punishments for false accusations and do better investigations rather than simply relying on words.
