If you don’t believe you can beat the market, you never will … you’ve effectively limited yourself because you lack the confidence to give it a go , most people don’t look beyond an all world etf because they think that’s the gold standard, if you’re willing to look a little beyond the etf mindset then it will make a drastic difference , the likes of meta , apple , Nvidia , Microsoft are never going to go bust , yes they’ll be more volatile than an etf but that’s the concentrated vol that comes with single stock selection , but the rewards are generally bigger , follow the stocks individually , buy on pullbacks , you’ll be rewarded more in the long run … don’t put it down to luck

My son bought meta a few weeks ago, despite my warnings that they were possibly facing huge financial penalties. I was wrong as he’s made a killing on it. Very proud of him

You had plenty of better opportunities, was under 600 for months and was even sub 550 a few times..Was almost guaranteed to get back . Easy money when quality stocks drop like this

meta is not speculative. as long as there's FB it won't go bust. only reason Meta is down so bad cos of the capex and the law suits. and wall street expect proper AI with Meta

I also did the same with Meta. So could celebrate like I’m next warren buffet but then I see that I also bought McDonald’s for the same reason and it’s slid a further 6% since I did 🤣🤣 undervalued doesn’t always mean profit, I’m learning that

I'm new to investing (3 months) and have followed you for a while now. I feel I'm too old to wait for gains through the s&p 500 so have tried to learn how to research companies instead. hopefully it will pay off in a few years. looking to max out s+s isa for the next 10 years 🤞
