I really don’t know where other farmers are getting there chicks from. I bought a day old at 1800 and some farmer are still selling 2-3 weeks 3000-3500. How now then still expecting me to sell 6-7 weeks frozen at 3800-4000 Kia now. This is not making sense Mobauh.

I am a bit confused is this about the hatchery owners or farmers who inflate price of there DOC collectively because the hatcheries you mention are commercial they only take setting fee from farmers so how do they have a say on the price issue.i will agree with you if you fault the PAON.

This is becoming too much. DOC is high and frozen chicken still remains the same, like she said in this video. These big brands are controlling the price because they own the hatchery and feed mill, and they have the volume to sell. The big hatcheries are also selling bad DOC. Can’t you imagine birds showing signs of Coccidiosis from day 3, and CRD disease on arrival from the hatchery? These are DOC bought directly from the hatchery. Birds are coming in at 28 to 32 grams when the standard is meant to be 42 to 45 grams. And the most annoying thing is, most of this big-name end products are not as good as our product, but because they have the name, they get to sell higher. I am currently producing not for profit but for consistency. The last supply was at ₦3,800 per kg, and DOC has moved from ₦800 to ₦1,850, yet the supply still remains at ₦3,800 per kg.

I think this issue is from those agents supplying us because our agent still has an agent, and those agents still have agents, and each each agent is adding their own prices thats why its cost may God help us we farmers ooo

When farmers stop buying they will be forced to bring down the price. Chicks are like vegetables, when people didn't buy they will lose. Farmers should cooperate and abscorn for like one month and see the result but that will be difficult because most farmers are selfish and desperate
