Als je alleen zo’n code intypt, wordt er geen verborgen modus aangezet. ChatGPT probeert simpelweg uit de woorden en de context af te leiden wat je ermee bedoelt. Daardoor kan het soms lijken alsof de code op zichzelf werkt. Wil je dat zo’n shortcut steeds een specifieke opdracht uitvoert, dan moet eerst duidelijk zijn wat die shortcut precies moet betekenen. Bijvoorbeeld door extra instructies, een uitgebreide prompt of eerder gegeven context.
