Four Chicago men have been charged after authorities say a group broke into Maria’s Gaming Café, stole nearly $13,850 from gaming machines and caused more than $100,000 in damage before fleeing police. A judge ordered the four defendants held pending trial on Friday, Oct. 30. What authorities say happened Early Thursday, Oct. 29, officers conducting an operation targeting gaming-business burglaries spotted two reported stolen vehicles—a Dodge Durango and a BMW traveling together. Around 4:37 a.m., the vehicles allegedly backed into parking spaces outside Maria’s Gaming Café at 40 E. Lake St. in Addison. Prosecutors allege five people, four carrying firearms, entered the café using sledgehammers and a crowbar. They allegedly spent about two minutes smashing gaming machines and taking cash. Police pursuit and arrests Authorities say the BMW hit police spike strips, and its three occupants abandoned it and entered the Durango, joining five others. After additional spike strips disabled the SUV, eight people fled on foot near Van Buren Street and 31st Avenue in Bellwood. Four were taken into custody. Police reported recovering loaded firearms, burglary tools and a handgun equipped with a device capable of converting it to fully automatic fire. Who was charged The defendants, all Chicago residents, were identified as: •	Keonte Adams, 20 •	Dajuan Johnson, 24 •	Kyronte McCondichie, 20 •	Daryl Nesbit, 19.[nbcchicago] Reported charges include armed violence, unlawful possession of a machine gun, burglary, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, criminal damage to property, and aggravated fleeing and eluding. The allegations have not been proven in court; all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. #Addison #ChicagoNews #DuPageCounty #localnews #creatorsearchinsights
