How Bible Prophecy Reveals Christ’s Kingdom Jehovah prepared his people for the Messiah’s first arrival by providing clear prophecies in advance. Isaiah 7:14 foretold that a virgin would give birth to a son. Micah 5:2 identified Bethlehem as the place where the Messiah would be born, while Daniel 9:25 provided information that helped sincere Jews recognize the approximate time when the Messiah would appear. John the Baptist also fulfilled the role foretold at Malachi 3:1 by preparing people for the Messiah. In a similar way, Jehovah provided advance information about the establishment of the Messianic Kingdom. Daniel 2:44 foretold that “the God of heaven will set up a kingdom” that would bring an end to human governments and stand forever.
