does she keep forgetting what she said previously so she keeps repeating herself over and over? lol. for real though I don't know about everyone else but when my grandfather died going through his stuff as a kid was kind of cathartic. I think it was hard for my dad though I think everyone kind of deals with that little bit different. also I don't think I have any boxes that I haven't opened even in the last couple years.

It is the best feeling in the world going through these items, and we've gotten rid of so many things this past month, but also found those little treasures within

no. dont throw it out. i waited 16 years to go through my grandparents stuff in the attic. when i opened them it was the best stuff ever. from the 1920's to the 1960's. i cherished everything, 1930's documents, 1920's hats. it was great and i wish everyone could get some closure and see who your grandparents were as young adults

Just cleaned out a 3rd gen family home owned by us since 1920. Lots of stuff in that attic and home, that wasn’t cleaned out. And you know what - I’m glad it wasn’t. It gave so much info on who my grandmother was and how helpful she was in the community, and all sorts of hints and history on how my dad grew up and every single thing he did for the whole city starting when he was still in high school. Family history is priceless to find, no matter how hurt you are with a death

I sat aside funds for someone to call a junk removal company. I really don't care if it's nothing they want. I still will not get rid of my junk, because when I am gone, I don't care, let them remove it all at one time. 👀 🤔 😂
