It occurs to me that players like Maradona have the freedom to express themselves taking on defences without fear. Our English players seem to have that coached out of them. Scott has the skill but it’s rare for midfielders to penetrate the heart of defences. The nearest thing at the moment is Bellingham who tries to make things happen otherwise it’s shots from outside the box.
