When you come in and you have chest pain or tell the hospital you have chest pain then it’s clinically appropriate for you to have a ekg and EKG does not do damage to the patient. It’s the same thing as a heart monitor but it tests your heart rhythm and print it out on a sheet of paper if it’s regular or irregular, it will say it on the sheet of paper that prints out
