@thetimes: There is something of a mystique about the harvest moon. It is said that the bright light from the moon for several nights helped farmers gather in the last of their crops. In fact, the harvest moon rises above the horizon at about the same time each evening, almost coinciding with the setting sun. The harvest moon was joined by Saturn, which rose about an hour after the moon and followed it across the sky through the night. Saturn will be big and bright, eventually reaching its brightest on October 4, when it will be directly opposite the sun and will therefore reflect the most light | ✍️ Paul Simons 📸 AJ Smadi/TwoPointO Media AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster Getty Images - Getty ZUMA Press, Inc. / Alamy Live News #harvestmoon #moon #saturn #light #sun
