Planting bananas alongside cocoa helps improve food security, provides shade while cocoa is young, and gives you another crop to harvest as your cocoa garden develops. And don’t throw away those banana stems after harvesting! 🌱 Chop them and use them as mulch around the cocoa tree. As they decompose, they return nutrients and organic matter to the soil, help conserve moisture, and can suppress weeds around the tree.
