if he was legal, cops needvto be sued. However, I believe law should be inacted that ANY wheeled vehicle on road should be required to have license plate, insurance! many instances where miles, scooters etc caused accident but rode off not accepting any responsibility or cost of damages. 😡

these Police need more training. this is ridiculous, although, there taking bikes all over NYC. Even from people who are working to provide for there families.

In order for that bike to be considered a bicycle, it has to have pedals on it. That is the law if it doesn't, it has to have a license plate?, and if the cops were in right, to fingerprint him, then what's problem. that little boy is not special

I am curious??? At what point did policy officers stop using common sense. when I was young, I had some run ins with local police. However most those guys were pretty cool 😎. Don't get me wrong, those guys were to be taken seriously in my neighborhood. However, for somthing like this, at this age, probably a warning, take it home, and fix the problems kid, before bringing back on the streets. in this situation, more mentorship than policing is more appropriate, if anything at all. Just go let the parents no, there's a problem with his bike, problem solved. certainly cheaper than what was done, in my opinion. He's just a kid, use some common sense officers.
