they get round it by the wording in ur contract. if u dont do it they literally tell u that it's in ur contract that u must be just as capable to do the work of managers so that it can be done in their absence.

my work place is like this someone is off you have to go from your work area to do there job iam in press shop but go to the line, warehouse ,paint plant,all for the same wage 😳

Yep so true - we had x2 full time nurses left or were they sacked for 11mths no recruitment patient lists mad so full causing no breaks min if any lunch ! They were fully aware saved a fortune now getting a locum gp which costs a fortune - 🤣great budgeting - nurses lists still busy they do not care

we were expected to come on shift early for handover but not paid. I come in to handover at 8. I leave at 8. if they want me to do training at home that is compulsory, they pay me for it. they pay us minimum they get minimum. I do a good job. but I do the job I am paid for . no more.

You say “I have no capacity”, they still give u the extra work and if you don’t finish it u get a 121 getting told you are not time managing well and firing is happening and if I don’t do better I might be next. U ask for a minimal raise to match the inflation, and they say no they can’t afford it. U ask for a promotion & they say no for the same reason and yet put somebody that has no experience or knowledge in the role you asked for. And u ask coworkers to go along side you and not put in the extra unpaid hours to get everything done, and they don’t listen becos they are afraid, so u become the o it c*nt trying to fight for justice
