Do you know the great rewards of answering the Adhan and reciting the Dua afterward? The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us beautiful practices that bring great rewards. 1. Answer the Mu'adhdhin. Repeat the words of the Adhan, and when he says “Hayya 'alas-Salah” and “Hayya 'alal-Falah,” say “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.” The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever repeats the Adhan sincerely will enter Paradise. Reference: Sunan Abi Dawud 527. 2. Recite this Dua after the Adhan to seek the Prophet’s ﷺ intercession on the Day of Resurrection. اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ Transliteration: Allahumma Rabba hadhihid-da'watit-tammah, was-salatil-qa'imah, ati Muhammadanil-wasilata wal-fadilah, wab'ath-hu maqaman mahmudan alladhi wa'adtah. Meaning: O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad ﷺ the means of nearness to You and excellence, and raise him to the praised position You have promised him. The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever recites this Dua after the Adhan will be granted his intercession on the Day of Resurrection, by Allah’s permission. Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 614. Make answering the Adhan and reciting this Dua part of your daily practice. May Allah grant us the Prophet’s ﷺ intercession and admit us into Jannah. Ameen.
