Really thinking about leaving because of the constant army changes to PT TEST, Uniforms, BODY fat changes, and I will be hitting 12 years in November

Got a year left. I am leaving because of all the BS I had to deal with within the 6 years I’ve been in. Tired of leadership, waiting around, and favoritism. I’m just tired of it, but I do appreciate the life the army gave me but I’m just doneeee

To help others I'll say. When my daughter was born finance messed up my pay. I went 9 months with diminished pay with a newborn. a few of those months without any BAH or BAS. By the time I got back pay they owed me 11k I almost lost my house, my car, and went homeless. I told my entire chain of command and the only thing they told me to do was buy new dress blues since I outgrew mine from basic 5 yrs later. I told IG and all they said was we cant do anything if your leadership is asswholes. They technically didnt do anything wrong. Not to mention the suicides of my friends, the person I witnessed shot in buddy team live fire, or the other deaths. I wasnt even deployed. But now im clinically depressed and with a break in my spine. I never felt like they ever truly cared, and they practically told me they dont.

Financial burden, low morale, been in 5 years and not vibing anymore, mental health is declining and all I'm told is to find help on my own.

They said speak up if you have problems so we can help you and when you start speaking up, nobody believes you and nobody cares!

I'm married with two kids so I don't like deployments, You lose time with your family that you'll never get back.

The military will ask you to do what 4 or 5 people do in the civilian sector and tell you not to complain. I did my time I am grateful for the opportunities the military has given me but in the end I had to look out for my family.

I will speak from mechanics point of view. First it’s the overuse of skilled soldiers when the blue falcons skate by. The next one is the long hours mechanic will not want to sacrifice time with their families if they have one. Shoot mechanics just want time it would solve a lot of things if the motorpool would probably function down to the squad level allowing the team lead to have control over their soldiers. Not getting last minute 1700 tasks.

1/6 years into my contract. This army life is dumb asf. Group PT is terrible, senseless formations, command chain not approving leave which we have a right to.

I came back for TA because they raised the age requirement for chaplain, but originally it was the toxic work environment that made me leave

For me it was the insane lack of communication and lack of planning. Why be at weapons drawling at 4:30am but don’t leave til 12, why do we have all day to do nothing but 10mins before excusal we have to change 5 tires. Being in hot ass sun for what

I would stay if i got BAH and didn’t have company PT every day actually. The two hours every morning between the sun rises that doesn’t even count towards the work day is just a waste of sleeping hours.
