Heavy die polishing removed them on the recognized No FG variety. PCGS says there should be no trace under 5x magnification; faint initials do not count. Match the date, mint and complete coin to an authenticated reference. Damage or wear alone does not establish the variety. Price context: one PCGS MS67 example sold for $2,820 at Heritage in April 2016, lot 4427. That's an exceptional graded historical sale, not a typical value or a promise about your find.
