Ex beauty therapist here! Buy some wax pot cleaner, it’s oil based so shouldn’t damage the carpet, but will break down the last of the wax. Test a tiny bit first but it gets wax off my clothes…

I think if you use an oil based products now you may be able to loosen what’s left from the carpet , then shampoo after x

Wax remover oil and then carpet cleaner vax it up! Trust me I’ve done this 😂

I once spilt wax on the carpet. the best thing to do is put a tea towel over it and then iron it, after about 5 minutes of doing so its completely gone

Would putting a bag of ice on the remainder freeze the wax hard & then you can pick it out, like you would with chewing gum!?

Hairdryer it if it gets hard then use spatula for excess then use hair dryer again then wax equipment cleaner at end to pick excess off that will be like it’s never been there !! [Red heart]
