The CALACAS MAMA in Anaheim, CA BEAN AND CHEESE BURRITO 🌯 . Just because a place has beans…and cheese, doesn’t mean it has a “BEAN AND CHEESE” and I’m learning that heavily in some of my recent adventures. This spot in Anaheim, across the street and a football throw away from Disneyland has a rad patio and really tasty food. Good spot to crush some margaritas before heading into the park…but damn, it was an upside down adventure trying to get a bean and cheese here 😭😭 Wife ordered a bean and cheese, but it wasn’t on the menu so she had to ask for a “burrito, just beans and cheese” and a “side of guac” // that’s the second burrito you see in the video. We of course ate it, and it was really quite delicious, refried beans, rice, cheese, sauce, guacamole (inside), basically a solid veggie burrito. Since that doesn’t count as a bean and cheese, and the waiter noticed how visibly contorted my dumb face looked — I told him it was tasty and I wanted another, but this time…JUST beans and JUST cheese. A little back and forth and confusion later, out came a whole bean 🫘 and cheese burrito, and you have to ask for the salsa sauce it comes with. While it’s a formidable group of ingredients on their own: tasty cheese, nice tortilla, beautiful melt, nice beans…it just didn’t feel like a bean and cheese. If anything, I do think this place is worthy a visit, but as a bean and cheese destination? I still cant solidify it high on the list. I coulda reordered again with refried beans, but third times not the charm, I was already full and wanted to enjoy more foods inside Disneyland that wasn’t bean and cheese related. If anyone goes back here, please let me know how the Bean and cheese is. Until then, please keep dropping your recommendations…I’ll stop straying so far from the damn truth 😂😂🫡🫡👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽
